About Us
Southern Draw was one of those things that you sit on the front porch and talk about not really expecting it to really happen. A lot of people have airboats and a lot of people have guide services, but I never really thought that this operation would come together the way it has. We wanted not only to have the best equipment possible but the best atmosphere for the first time bowfisher. I remember my family’s first time
going with Caleb Jones. We went on a friends boat (Aaron Kelly) it was a troller boat, and I have never had a better time in my whole entire life! The experience the first time is indescribable to say the least. It’s so much more than just shooting at fish with a bow and arrow. It’s dark, it’s cool, it’s the sounds of the night water that are rarely experienced by the average outdoorsman. I remember laying in bed after the entire experience was over and running it all through my mind trying to recreate the events that had occurred, and realized I would just have to go again because there was too much detail to the trip that I had experienced! The addiction had quickly evolved into a reason to try to share this with as many people as possible, and I quickly knew then that I was overtaken in folks willing to go. WOW!! what a way to continue the experience by showing others the fundamentals of Bowfishing. Wait a minute this was the first year I had ever gave this an effort myself how can I show others? I had to learn the local water, learn what fish do at all times of the year at all water temps with different types of cover for the fish etc… It has been a challenge, but more rewarding than any other outdoor experience I have ever been confronted with. Come take a trip with us…
